The Mangrove 737 Team is centered around a Boeing 737-800 flight simulator located in Caves Beach NSW.
Each year we take part in two online events raising money for various charities. The events are streamed live on twitch at www.twitch.tv/golfromeo516 - you can usually find us live streaming on Monday afternoons and evenings as well!
The two events are Worldflight and OzFlight.
Worldflight takes place in the first week of November each year. Teams from around the world fly non-stop for the week. Usually making 45 or so flights to travel from Sydney back to Sydney. This event raises money for many different charities around the world. In Australia money raised goes to the Royal Flying Doctor Service. Worldflight has been running for 20 years, our team has been taking part since 2012.
Ozflight was an idea that we came up with just this year. A kind of mini version of Worldflight we fly to every Australian capital city (and a couple of other places) over a weekend in June. OzFlight this year raising money for the Perry Cross Spinal Research Foundation. They are raising money for research into a cure for paralysis caused by spinal cord injury.
